Excitement
I've been developing a rep at work.
I've got the second messiest office in the organization. That is talent, I tell you, but I'm sure I have a lot to learn from my colleague, who does not appear to have any flat surface that is not covered with at least six inches of paper. I am terrible at filing in a timely fashion, which anyone who has ever lived with me can vouch for, and my office has a major lack of desk space/flat surfaces other than the floor. But it's cozy and all mine, so I'm not complaining.
This afternoon I had some spare time, since I'd just finished one big project (which was very paper-intensive) and I'm starting something new tomorrow. I decided it was time to clean things up a little. The before photos are actually half way through the job, so they don't quite do it justice, nor can you see the stack of boxes full of materials that I'm standing, nor my file cabinet (also covered with paper), but you can get a good idea.
I ended up with this:

Lest you think my life is all such fun and games, here's a picture of my weekend.
Mandi and Eric and I went up to Amherst to see my parents, and we also went swimming in Puffer's Pond with a Northern Water Snake, went to the Farmers' Market, drank local beer from Amherst Brewing Company, ate a lot of cider donuts from Atkins, took lots of pictures of vegetables, ate ice cream from Herrell's, and went running around the Amherst reservoir. It was a pretty nice weekend.
